“I had suffered from pelvic pain for years, and came to Amy only after seeing numerous other doctors and physical therapists who had helped me very little. When I was finally referred to her, I didn’t have much hope that yet another medical professional would be able to help me feel better. I could tell from the beginning, however, that Amy was different. She listened to me with compassion. She was willing to consider how my many musculoskeletal issues — hips, back, knees, and pelvis — worked together to contribute to my pain. She was patient and persistent even when this unusual combination of issues led to difficulty with her more traditional treatment methods, and found creative alternatives that were effective. When necessary, she referred me to other talented professionals in her network. She connected me with peers who could provide emotional support.
With Amy’s help, I began to make major progress. When I first began seeing her, my work, social, and romantic lives were significantly limited by my pain.
Today, I can walk, sit, stand, work, and play for long periods of time without pain, and am in a serious, intimate relationship for the first time in years. Amy’s intelligence, patience, knowledge, and support literally changed my life– I am so thankful to have worked with her.”
